Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 31, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaxiSearcher, including the TaxiSearcher website or mobile application, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use TaxiSearcher.

2. Age Requirement and Minors

TaxiSearcher is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. You may not create an account, request a trip, accept a trip, verify as a passenger, verify as a driver, or otherwise use TaxiSearcher directly unless you are at least 18 years old.

Minors may not create TaxiSearcher accounts, request rides, accept rides, or ride unaccompanied through TaxiSearcher. A minor may be a passenger only when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult who arranged the trip through that adult’s own TaxiSearcher account.

Users may not use TaxiSearcher to arrange transportation for an unaccompanied minor. TaxiSearcher may suspend or terminate accounts used to request, offer, or arrange transportation for unaccompanied minors.

3. Service Overview

TaxiSearcher is a digital platform that helps passengers and independent drivers connect, communicate, and coordinate transportation requests. TaxiSearcher is not a transportation carrier, taxi company, rideshare company, limousine service, dispatch company, insurer, emergency service, or employer of drivers or passengers. TaxiSearcher does not process, hold, guarantee, refund, or enforce trip payments between passengers and drivers.

TaxiSearcher does not provide transportation services, employ drivers, own or operate vehicles, dispatch drivers as a transportation provider, guarantee ride availability, or guarantee that any ride request will be accepted, completed, or paid.

4. Independent Users

Drivers and passengers using TaxiSearcher act independently. TaxiSearcher does not control, supervise, direct, or manage user conduct, routes, driving decisions, payment arrangements, vehicle operation, or in-person interactions.

Participation in any communication, ride request, trip, or in-person interaction arranged through TaxiSearcher is voluntary and undertaken at each user’s own discretion and risk.

5. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current account, profile, trip, and verification information.
  • Use TaxiSearcher lawfully, respectfully, and honestly.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Use reasonable judgment before, during, and after any interaction arranged through TaxiSearcher.
  • Maintain any license, permit, registration, insurance, vehicle condition, or authorization required for their activities.
  • Not use TaxiSearcher for fraud, harassment, threats, unlawful activity, unsafe activity, or platform abuse.

6. Payments Between Users

TaxiSearcher does not process, hold, guarantee, refund, or enforce trip payments between passengers and drivers. Unless otherwise stated for a specific in-app platform feature, payment arrangements for trips are made directly between users, including cash or third-party payment services.

Users are responsible for their own payment decisions, records, tax obligations, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and compliance with any third-party payment service rules.

7. Verification and Platform Access

Certain TaxiSearcher features require verification. Passenger verification may require submitting a valid, unexpired U.S. state-issued photo ID, driver’s license, or other accepted government-issued photo identification showing that the user is at least 18 years old.

Driver verification may require a valid driver’s license, vehicle information, registration, insurance information, profile photo, and other documents or information requested by TaxiSearcher.

Verification means submitted information or documents may be reviewed for completeness, consistency, apparent authenticity, and platform eligibility. Verification does not guarantee safety, identity, driving ability, legal compliance, insurance coverage, vehicle condition, trustworthiness, or future conduct.

Verification is not an endorsement, certification, employment decision, background check guarantee, or assumption of responsibility by TaxiSearcher. Users remain responsible for deciding whether to interact with another user.

8. Verification Fees

TaxiSearcher may charge verification fees to help reduce fraudulent or automated activity and to offset manual review and platform costs.

  • Passenger verification may require a one-time $1 fee and submission of accepted identification.
  • Driver verification may require a one-time $5 fee and submission of accepted driver and vehicle documentation.
  • Driver re-verification may be provided at no additional fee unless otherwise stated.
  • Verified drivers may receive a one-time token award after approval.
  • Verified drivers may also be treated as verified passengers. Verified passengers are not automatically verified as drivers.

Verification fees are generally non-refundable once review has begun, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated by TaxiSearcher.

9. Tokens and Digital Items

TaxiSearcher may use tokens or other digital items for certain in-app features. Tokens are digital items for use only within TaxiSearcher.

  • Accepting a trip may require tokens based on trip distance or other platform rules.
  • Tokens may be available for purchase at prices shown in the app or website.
  • Tokens are non-transferable.
  • Tokens do not represent money, stored value, gift cards, bank deposits, securities, or legal tender.
  • Tokens have no cash value outside TaxiSearcher and are not redeemable for cash, except where required by law.

10. Safety and Emergency Situations

TaxiSearcher is not an emergency service. If you believe you are in danger, need medical help, need police assistance, or require urgent help, call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority.

Users should verify trip details, use caution when meeting others, share trip information when appropriate, and follow applicable laws and safety practices.

11. Ratings, Feedback, Blocking, and Reports

TaxiSearcher may provide ratings, feedback, blocking, reporting, and trip-history tools to help users make informed decisions and report concerns. Ratings and comments are user-generated and reflect individual user experiences. They do not represent TaxiSearcher’s views, endorsements, guarantees, or findings.

TaxiSearcher may review, moderate, remove, restrict, or preserve content or accounts when needed to operate the platform, address abuse, comply with legal obligations, or protect users and the service.

12. Account Suspension or Termination

TaxiSearcher may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to some or all features if it believes an account has violated these Terms, created safety concerns, submitted false information, misused verification, engaged in fraud, abused the platform, or violated applicable law.

13. Availability and Changes to the Service

TaxiSearcher is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be changed, limited, interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time. TaxiSearcher does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, data availability, driver availability, passenger availability, trip availability, or successful matching.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaxiSearcher and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers are not liable for damages, losses, injuries, disputes, payment issues, property damage, delays, cancellations, unsafe conduct, unlawful conduct, or other claims arising from or related to user interactions, ride requests, trips, verification decisions, payment arrangements, or use of the platform.

TaxiSearcher does not guarantee the identity, conduct, reliability, safety, legal compliance, insurance status, vehicle condition, payment reliability, or availability of any user.

15. No Warranties

TaxiSearcher is provided “as-is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, or safety.

16. Cooperation with Legal Authorities

TaxiSearcher may preserve, review, disclose, or provide account, trip, verification, communication, activity, or technical information when required by law, legal process, court order, law enforcement request, safety concern, fraud investigation, or to protect TaxiSearcher, its users, or the public.

17. Privacy

Use of TaxiSearcher is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and shared.

18. Changes to These Terms

TaxiSearcher may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms may be posted on the website or presented in the app. Continued use of TaxiSearcher after updated Terms are made available or accepted constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
